THE KEARNEY HALL REVIVAL!
The Kearney Hall, located on Highway 87, near the Piney Creek Exit off Interstate 90, was built in the early 1950’s and was used by the local community extensively for many years. However, as the community changed and people moved on or away, the hall fell into disuse. The last 25 years have left the hall basically abandoned and in desperate need of repairs. Fortunately, a new non-profit board has formed around the hall and has big plans to bring it back to full use for the community.
Last fall, thanks to a donation by Todd Schuster, of Schuster Construction, a temporary roof was put on the hall that stopped the leaks and is getting the hall through the winter. Thank you Todd Schuster!
An auction is planned at the Kearney Hall for June 7, 2014 at 10am as our first public fund-raiser. Please contact Larry Brannian at brannianauction.com, (or call 684-2793 ) if you are interested in donating.
We also welcome any pictures or stories of the old hall. Please contact Courtney Caplan at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 683-2181 to add your little bit of history.
Stay tuned for more Kearney Hall news!
