Long before generations of Story residents knew it as the Wagon Box, the familiar property along North Piney Road was known as the Piney Inn, a place where visitors came for meals, dancing, fishing, horseback riding, mountain vacations and the kind of hospitality that helped shape Story’s early identity.
Story Days returns August 28–30 with a special theme this year: “Story the Beautiful,” inspired by America the Beautiful and the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
The Story Lions Club, established in 1957, is a dedicated community organization actively involved in initiatives such as biannual road clean-ups and awarding scholarships.
Story Days 2026 is happening August 28–30 in the beautiful mountain town of Story, inviting folks from all across northern Wyoming to come together for a fun-filled weekend of community, tradition, and small-town charm.
